Governance and Structure

The Blue Shield is composed of a number of national committees, coordinated by an international board.

​Blue Shield Austria is composed of a Board of six members including the President, the Vice-President, the Executive Vice-President, the Secretary-General, the Deputy Security-General and the Treasurer elected by the Members of Blue Shield Austria:
  • Arbeitskreis Kulturgüterschutz der Offiziersgesellschaft Wien
  • ICOM Österreich
  • ICOMOS Österreich
  • Kompetenzzentrum für Kulturelles Erbe und Kulturgüterschutz an der Universität Wien
  • Medien Archive Austria (MAA)
  • Notfallverbund Österreichischer Museen und Bibliotheken
  • Österreichische Gesellschaft für Denkmal- und Ortsbildpflege (ÖGDO)
  • Österreichische Gesellschaft für Kulturgüterschutz (ÖGKGS)
  • Österreichisches Komitee zum Schutz des armenischen Kulturerbes in Karabach/Aserbaidschan
  • Österreichische Roerich-Gesellschaft
  • Österreichisches Schwarzes Kreuz

Under its 2021 Statutes, Blue Shield Austria is registered as a NGO.
